CareRipples Reaches WorkBC Burnaby

In a virtual gathering filled with purpose, we shared not just information, but a gentle invitation to understand and navigate British Columbia’s healthcare system with greater ease and confidence.

For many residents, accessing public healthcare — even though it is proudly funded through MSP — can feel confusing and overwhelming. Long waits, uncertainty about the right place to go, and hesitation about when to use virtual care often leave people unsure of their options.

During the session, we introduced Avee Health and showed how eligible patients can connect with licensed family physicians and nurse practitioners through our platform — all covered by MSP. We walked participants through practical steps, including:

• How to register on the Avee platform
• How to book a virtual doctor appointment in BC
• How virtual primary care works safely within the public system
• When telemedicine is the right choice versus urgent or emergency care
• How better healthcare navigation can ease pressure on emergency rooms

We also opened the door to meaningful conversations about career opportunities at Avee Health for those passionate about building innovative and compassionate healthcare solutions in British Columbia.

This session mattered deeply because WorkBC staff stand at the heart of people’s journeys — supporting job seekers and employers every day. When individuals understand how to access timely primary care, including convenient virtual appointments covered by MSP, it reduces unnecessary delays, protects productivity, and helps build stronger, healthier communities.
