This past weekend, the Avee Health team headed to Coquitlam for the BC Dumpling Festival — and what a day it was. Town Centre Park was packed with families, kids weaving between booths, and the kind of lively community energy that reminds us exactly why we show up at events like this.

A Festival Built for Families

The BC Dumpling Festival is one of the Tri-Cities’ most-loved community celebrations, and it showed. From the Kids Zone to the Art Zone to the long rows of dumpling vendors, the entire park was filled with people spending quality time together. It’s exactly the setting we love — not as a booth trying to sell something, but as a familiar, friendly face in the community.

Real Conversations, Real Recognition

What stood out most was how many people already knew us. Throughout the day we met patients who had already used Avee Health’s services and were genuinely happy to stop by, say hello, and share their experience in person. That kind of recognition means a lot. It tells us the word is spreading, and that same-day virtual care is becoming a trusted part of how people in British Columbia think about healthcare.

We also had great conversations with other community organizations at the festival. Many were surprised — in the best way — to learn that seniors and families no longer need to spend hours in an emergency room just to speak with a doctor. Same-day virtual access is still new to a lot of people, and moments like these are a chance to change that.

One of the most meaningful parts of the day was talking with festival-goers who don’t speak English fluently.
